Full-Duplex Metamaterial-Enabled Magnetic Induction Networks in Extreme Environments

摘要: Many important applications in the extreme environment require wireless communications to connect smart devices. Metamaterial-enhanced magnetic induction (M2I) has been proposed as a promising solution thanks its long communication range lossy medium. $M$ 2I relies on coupling, which makes it intrinsically full-duplex without self-interference. Moreover, engineered active metamaterial provides reconfigurability and interference. In this paper, new networking paradigm based reconfigurable technique is investigated. particular, theoretical analysis electromagnetic simulation are first provided prove feasibility. Then, medium access control protocol avoid collisions. Finally, capacity delay of M2I network derived show advantage paradigm. The paper indicates that network, distance between source destination can be arbitrarily end-to-end short single hop delay. As result, each node such reach any other by one hop, greatly enhance robustness efficiency. It for timely transmission emergent information or real-time signals.
