Atorvastatin, a β-hydroxy-β-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase inhibitor, has pleiotropic effects, such as promoting angiogenesis, increasing fibrinolysis, and reducing inflammatory responses, shown promise in enhancing recovery animals with traumatic brain injury (TBI) stroke.
