Substitution effect of manganese for iron in “114” YBaFe4O7 ferrite: structure, magnetism and oxygen hyperstoichiometry

摘要: The study of the ferrites YBaFe4−xMnxO7 shows that substitution Mn2+ for Fe2+ in YBaFe4O7 stabilizes hexagonal symmetry at expense cubic one 1 ≤ x 2. Using combined measurements a.c. and d.c. magnetization, we establish Mn Fe leading to a cationic disorder induces spin glass behaviour. An important characteristic these substituted deals with their ability absorb desorb reversibly oxygen, oxides YBaFe4−xMnxO7+δ, highest δ values 2–2.25 have been observed date this “114” family. These oxidized “Mn ferrites” keep temperature, Tsg, is varying oxygen content δ.
