摘要: Between species and across season variation in growth was examined by tagging recapturing individual brook trout Salvelinus fontinalis brown Salmo trutta seasons a small stream (West Brook, Massachusetts, U.S.A.). Detailed information on body size are presented to (1) test whether the two differed within (2) characterize seasonal patterns for age classes of each species. Growth between nearly half season- age-specific comparisons. When differed, non-native grew faster than native all but one comparison. Moreover, differences were most pronounced when overall high during spring early summer. These resulted asymmetries that sustained over duration study. A literature survey also indicated nonnative salmonids typically grow occur sympatry. Taken together, these results suggest not uncommon coexisting salmonids.
