摘要: Three-dimensional discrete cosine transform (3-D DCT) coding has the advantage of reducing interframe redundancy among a number consecutive frames, while motion compensation technique can only reduce at most two frames. However, performance 3-D DCT will be degraded for complex scenes with greater amount motion. This paper presents variable temporal length that is determined by scene change detector. Our idea to let activity in each block very low, efficiency could increased. Experimental results show this indeed efficient. The present approach substantial improvement over conventional fixed-length and also better than Moving Picture Expert Group (MPEG) coding.
