摘要: Abstract Various geometric microstructures on aluminum alloy surfaces were fabricated simply through SiC paper rubbing, and the wettability of obtained was investigated thoroughly. The water contact angle increased firstly with increasing particle size sandpaper, then declined further increase grits size, exhibiting a hydrophilic–hydrophobic–hydrophilic transition. effect surface microstructure wetting behavior can be well rationalized in terms Cassie–Baxter model by considering energy gradient. present results not only enhance in-depth understanding mechanism for significant role alloy, but also explore promising applications versatile metallic industries.
