Separation of PbWO 4 and BGO signals into Čerenkov and scintillation components

摘要: We present results from beam tests performed in 2007 on PbWO4 and BGO crystals the context of DREAM project. Signals high energy electrons pions are analyzed possibility separating contributions Cerenkov (C) scintillation (S) light for individual events is investigated. Different methods exploiting difference timing, spectra directionality two types have been developed to determine contribution components. In crystal, signals enhanced with use optical filters ratio C/S measured good precision (~20-30% deposits less than 1 GeV).
