摘要: Abstract Eclectics is an attempt to model the present in interdisciplinary fashion. The starting-point extended philosophical notion of scarcity, analysis which leads certain basic theorems choice. These are then applied quaternary, ie abstract, commodities not usually treated economics, eg nationalism, achievement, prestige. approach involves definition content from fields such as psychology, sociology, anthropology, political science; and choice method economics (which seen here identical theory choice). advantage eclectics that it provides for rigorous treatment “non-economic” variables (and therefore humanises economist) while at same time exporting other social scientists (thereby formalising what have hitherto been imprecise techniques).
