摘要: With the increase in obesity and sedentary lifestyles, incidence of diabetes among reproductive-aged women is rising globally. Providers are expected to care for a growing number with gestational (GDM) coming decades. Traditionally, insulin has been considered standard management GDM, when diet exercise fail achieve tight maternal glucose control without risk transfer across placenta. Understanding effectiveness safety use oral agents during pregnancy both neonatal outcomes as an alternative option essential GDM their offspring. In this review, our objectives were (1) summarise available evidence on efficacy these medications, (2) review data adverse effect, (3) discuss current gaps research, outlining limitations study designs that deserve attention (4) key points practicing clinician.
