摘要: [1] In this paper the method of natural orthogonal components (NOC) is utilized to decompose daily magnetic variation, expressing variation as a summation eigenmodes. The results show that first and second NOC eigenmodes represent solar quiet Sq, disturbance-daily SD, respectively. third fourth may be related specific currents in magnetosphere. Remarkable day-to-day (DTD) variations exist amplitudes combination reproduces complicated characteristics DTD variation. decomposition presented helpful for understanding mechanism its In addition, provides ground-based monitoring current systems several important regions near-Earth space.
