摘要: Emission properties of thin film field emission array cathodes with molybdenum, hafnium, diamond-like carbon, and lanthanum hexaboride cones were investigated. Each consisted 681 holes (microcells), spaced on 10- mu m centers a silicon substrate. At work functions more than 5 eV carbon had the lowest operating voltage-less 50 V-due to high value form factor cones, which have sharp ribbed pyramidal shape. However, current density was not achieved such because low conductance this type carbon. Different approaches increase transconductance provided by one cell are discussed. >
