摘要: Invasive green alga Codium fragile spp. (Suringar) Hariot, 1889 thalli were first detected in Newfoundland (Canada) within Mortier Bay (southwestern Placentia Bay) August 2012. Subsequent SCUBA surveys 2013 found attached to subtidal substrates Arnold’s Cove (northeastern and on the northern coast of central near Pilley’s Island (Notre Dame Bay), which is currently most location Atlantic Canada. Due large distances between confirmed sightings, further are recommended determine distribution range its possible dispersal vectors coastal waters.
