摘要: LARGE-PORE HYDRODEMETALLIZATION CATALYST AND PROCESS EMPLOYING SAME Abstract of the Invention There is disclosed a catalyst for hydrodemetallization petroleum hydrocarbon streams containing asphaltenes and large quanti-ties metals. This consists essentially small amount single hydrogenation metal selected from group consisting metals Group VIB Periodic Table Elements VIII deposed on large-pore alumina. The may be present in elemental form, as an oxide, sulfide, or mixtures thereof. characterized by surface area at least 120 square meters per gram, pore volume 0.7 cc average diameter 125 Angstrom units. Suitable examples are nickel molybdenum. Also process stream substantial metals, which comprises contacting said reaction zone under suitable operating conditions presence hydrogen with described hereinabove.
