Influence of the Deep Waterway Project on the Changjiang Estuary

摘要: Using the improved 3-D ECOM model with a high resolution grid and incorporating various dynamic factors, impact of deep waterway project on saltwater intrusion in Changjiang Estuary was analysed. Salinity South Branch is shown to be influenced by downstream from spillage brackish water North upstream. In Channel, had been alleviated distinctly after project, because dykes blocked off southward drift plumes under forcing northerly monsoon Coriolis force. The area intensified at upper section lower section. passage, as background salinity increased river discharge decreased. an obvious Estuary.
