摘要: A low-voltage, low-power, wide gain-range variable gain amplifier (VGA) design has been proposed. To provide range feature, the proposed VGA utilizes a novel pseudo-exponential function. The synthesis is simplified and optimized using g m =I D method which enables us to characterize transistors in any operating region based on their V GS relation. As result, CMOS 90nm technology under 1.2V supply voltage 75dB over 0.81V control range, with 30MHz–184.8MHz bandwidth, 0.72mW power consumption.
