摘要: This study evaluates the spatiotemporal variability of dust emission in Arabian Peninsula and quantifies sensitivity to land-cover heterogeneity by using Community Land Model version 4 (CLM43) at three different spatial resolutions. The is represented CLM4-default plant function types (PFTs) Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) land cover types, respectively, grids. We area-average surface vegetation data use default nearest neighbor method interpolate meteorological variables. find that MODIS leads a slightly higher coverage vegetated than PFT data; former also gives more latter 25- 50-km grids as have gridcells favoring less emission. research highlights importance proper data-processing methods or thresholds preserve accuracy models. CLM4 can capture features on Peninsula.MODIS has CLM-PFT.The MODIS-based increases with model resolution.Resolution-dependence due factors influencing emissions.
