摘要: Dingoes (Canis lupus dingo) are water-limited apex predators in Australian terrestrial systems, but observations of dingoes arid areas far removed from water suggest that may not always need access to free persist. Data GPS-collared the Strzelecki Desert were used measure waterpoint visitation rates eight four adjacent territories. Each dingo regularly went 3–5 days without visiting waterpoints all seasons, and individuals same pack visitedwaterpoints at different frequencies times day. The longest period a was 22 summer winter two individuals. These results have implications for placeswhere baiting occurs, diet play an important role use by dingoes.
