摘要: Abstract A solid phase method for measuring the binding capacity of serum testosterone-estradiol globulin (TeBG) is described and compared with other methods. TeBG, a glycoprotein, adsorbed from or plasma onto matrix concanavalin-A, carbohydrate-specific adsorbent. The TeBG determined by Scatchard analysis radioactive testosterone at physiologic pH, in standard test tubes, without addition albumin. Transcortin inhibited cortisol. levels this showed an excellent correlation procedures using equilibrium dialysis (with added cortisol) ammonium sulphate precipitation. was 0.798±0.064 (mean±SE) μg/100 mL men (n=32), 1.06±0.13 women (n=10), 2.18±0.19 taking oral contraceptives (n=4), 6.2±2.9 hyperthyroid (n=2), 11.6±3.1 pregnant (n=5). heparinized did not differ that serum. within-assay variation 9.6% between-assay 11.2%.
