摘要: Abstract Some phytochemicals demonstrate gastroprotective effects by inhibiting gastric acid secretion or through antioxidant action. One of these which have been studied is gallic acid. However, its mechanism in the treatment and prevention ulcer remains unclear. This study evaluated anti-ulcerogenic mechanism(s) (GA) novel synthetic derivative (GD). Adult male Sprague Dawley rats were orally pretreated with GA GD 30 min later exposed to acute ulcerogenesis induced 95% ethanol (5 ml/kg). Potential chemoprevention assessed using qualitative quantitative evaluation lesions, juice acidity, mucus production, histolopathology, PAS histochemistry, immunostaining Hsp70 Bax, nitric oxide, prostaglandin E 2 , TNF-α thiobarbituric reactive substances (TBARS) assay. Oral administration (25 50 mg/kg) inhibited significantly ( P vivo properties, immunomodulator proteins inhibition mitochondrial apoptosis may contribute activity
