摘要: The application of a continuum-based finite-layer mechanistic model to evaluate pavement strain response under moving traffic loading generated from wide-base tires is presented. incorporates important factors such as the noncircular contact area, complex stress distributions (normal and shear), vehicle speed, viscoelastic material characterization. Results parametric study in which two typical thin thick sections were subjected at different speeds are included. impact speed on strains induced asphalt concrete layer consistent with results several field studies. reveals that especially case pavements, fatigue failure mechanism resulting those by conventional tires. With pavements longitudinal cracks expected when used.
