摘要: The physical layer capture (PLC) effect occurs frequently in the real wireless deployment; when two or more nodes transmit simultaneously, a receiver can successfully decode collided frame if signal strength of one is sufficiently high enough. Although PLC increases channel utilization, it results an unfair access among nodes. In this paper, we propose PLC-aware media control (MAC) algorithm that employs average waiting time as common reference. It enables to converge fair by changing IEEE 802.11 enhanced distributed parameters: contention window, arbitration interframe space, transmission opportunity. We then find multiple references meet constraint and obtain near-optimal reference maximizes overall throughput. Through ns-2 simulations in-door experiments using universal software radio peripheral platform, evaluate fairness throughput performance MAC algorithm.
