Influence of Fiber Distribution and Interfacial Strength on Transverse Compressive Strength of Unidirectional Composites

摘要: The representative volume element(RVE) of the computational micromechanics is established with random fiber distribution being generated by sequential expansion algorithm. plasticity matrix and interfacial decohesion are simulated using Drucker-Prager model cohesive zone respectively. effects strength on transverse compressive unidirectional composites analyzed. results show that a factor to cause instability strength. Meanwhile, plastic shear damage non dominated in compression failure. Therefore, RVE without interface element adopted can clearly predict process composites, which contributes simplify modeling considering value parameters.
