摘要: Background Most data suggesting an association between psoriasis and cardiovascular disease (CVD) have come from specialized populations at either low or high risk of CVD. Atopic dermatitis (AD) has been associated with a number modifiable factors, particularly obesity. There recent controversy on the suggestion that associations comorbidities in may be due to overreporting biased by severity therefore not necessarily representative general population. Objectives To evaluate prevalence AD compare rates based large sample health insurance data. Methods Data were collected database non-selected individuals German statutory organization covers all geographic regions. Individuals identified International Classification Diseases (ICD)-10 codes applied outpatient inpatient visits year 2009. Comorbidities evaluated ICD-10 diagnoses. Results The consisted 1 642 852 members insurance. Of 349 671 sets analyzed, 37 456 patients ≥18 years diagnosed (prevalence 2.78%), 48 140 age AD, equivalent 3.67%. Patients showed increased groups. related metabolic syndrome including arterial hypertension [prevalence ratio (PR), 1.94; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.90–1.98], hyperlipidaemia (PR, 1.77; CI, 1.73–1.81), obesity 1.74; 1.69–1.79) diabetes mellitus 1.88; 1.83–1.94) significantly more common among compared AD. Conclusions Diseases forming part significant lower than psoriasis. Within limitations secondary healthcare data, our study disproves higher degree overreporting.
