摘要: The genus Hantavirus, belonging to the family Bunyaviridae, is a rapidly expanding group of viruses. Although some members have been well known for over 30 years, in last 5 years at least 12 putative novel hantavirus species identified, primarily soricomorph mammals. just 20 mainly rodent-borne hantaviruses are officially recognized, these newly identified likely increase real total between and 50 species, depending on parameters used define species. Many important zoonotic pathogens, responsible up 200,000 human cases annually. earliest be recognized were usually humans, rodent samples often differentiated through serological techniques, past almost all using molecular methods. tools now available allowed more precise characterisation taxonomy, distribution, identification highly genetically different recombination within genetic predisposition severe disease humans.
