摘要: For optimal energy conversion in photovoltaic devices (electricity to and from light) one important requirement is that the full of photons used. However, solar cells, a single electron–hole pair specific generated when incoming photon above certain threshold, with excess being lost heat. In so-called quantum-cutting process, high-energy can be divided into two, or more, lower energy. Such manipulation quantum size then very effectively increase overall efficiency device. current work, we demonstrate (space-separated) cutting by silicon nanocrystals, which nearby Er3+ ions neighbouring nanocrystals are used detect this effect.
