Relationship between Perceived Stigma and Psychological Cha- racteristics in Iranian Sibling Adolescent of Children with Special Needs

摘要: This study aimed at investigating the level of perceived stigma in adolescents who have siblings with special needs and its relationship their psychological traits. The research method this was a kind correlation. 240 Adolescents (e.g. mentally retarded, blind, deaf physically impaired) were selected participated via random multiphase approach. Data collection technique Rezaee et al questionnaire, SCL-90, whose reliability validity which already been proven. data analyzed by Pear- son-product correlation coefficient T-test order to compare dependent averages analyze them. findings showed that had not any significant demographic characteristics. However, there between spe- cial traits like depression, anxiety, phobic stress, paranoid thoughts, inter-personal sensitivity, aggression, psychoticism (P≥ 0.01). It is concluded based on related results can help psychologists, counselors other people field improve mental Health such people.
