摘要: Direct damage of increased solar ultraviolet-B (UVB) on organism fitness has attracted attention due to stratospheric ozone depletion. Although most ectotherms are not capable detecting and avoiding UVB, they may avoid direct exposure UVB via thermoregulation behavior. However, it is still clear whether organisms harmed by ambient radiation before escaping shaded microhabitats. In this study we used the English grain aphid, Sitobion avenae (Hemiptera: Aphididae), test sunlight-avoidance behavior was caused heat stress rather than behavioral in microhabitats contributes avoidance or reduction damage. Our results showed that S. tended inhabit exposed adaxial leaf surfaces mid-May Mongolia, but inhabited mid-June, thereby strong sunlight. Heat primary reason for such The average extreme temperatures were several degrees lower sunlight-exposed at midday, suggesting movement represents a form thermoregulation. Such responses occurred reached harmful levels, contributed As future climate warming expected lead as well increasing temperatures, represent case where one stressor inadvertently protect against effects different stressor.
