Developmental morphology and fine structure of Placoasterella baileyi

摘要: The mycelium of Placoasterella baileyi (B & Br.) Arx consisted a superficial on the leaf surface Hakea laurina and an intracuticular hyphal system. No hyphae were observed below cuticle or stomata. ascocarp shield orignated from small hemispherical plate cells cuticle. centrum was pseudoparaphysate. Hyphal elements branched inner grew towards base locule. Basal gave rise to asci which passed through ostiole at maturity. On basis ascocarp-shield morphology development P. should be included in family Microthyriaceae.
