摘要: Author(s): Young, Parke H | Abstract: At the beginning of 20th century, marine partyboat fishing in California was a wealthy man's sport, but 30 years later, nucleus present day fleet about 400 partyboats forming. The development from 1936 to 1967 is traced brief, including mention influence governmental agencies on safety, food handling, communications, employment, records catch, and taxes. A study activities for one year, 1963, presented reveals some economic facts life.During 21 year period, 1947–1967, statewide reported catch over 71 million fish. Annual totals ranged 2.0 5.4 fish.Salmon, striped bass, rockfish, lingcod have been primary species sought taken Oregon Point Arguello, whereas off southern barracuda, kelp sand yellowtail, Pacific bonito, halibut were most important species.Of 20 game fishes fishery, all except entered commercial fishery.
