摘要: To determine systemic absorption of dexamethasone by detection plasma concentration using high performance liquid chromatography following its administration along with local anesthetic agent as a mixture via pterygomandibular space. A prospective randomized double-blind clinical study was undertaken to analyze the after intra-space injection anesthesia. The performed per split mouth model where mandibular quadrant allocation done on random basis considering each 30 patients is included in two interventions (SS and CS). For site (SS) procedures, administered (2 % lignocaine 1:200,000 epinephrine 4 mg dexamethasone) intra-space. In control (CS) regular standard inferior alveolar nerve block administered, given intramuscular injection. determination venous blood 30- 60-min post (HPLC). parameters like pain; swelling; opening first, third, seventh post-operative day were analyzed compared. No significant difference found assessed; comparative evaluation showed less swelling SS interventions. for CS 226 ± 47 ng/ml at 30-min 316 ± 81.6 ng/ml injection, SS, it 221 ± 81.6 ng/ml 340 ± 105 ng/ml On inter-site (CS SS) comparison, no statistically ascertained (P = 0.77) (P = 0.32). Intra-space (pterygomandibular space) can achieve similar drug when same dose intramuscularly demonstration effects.
