摘要: Abstract The information that available diagnostic tests and surgical exploration present often is inaccurate in determiafng true tumor extent glioblestomas. necessity of knowing the exact extension before radiation portals are employed evident additional obtained at autopsy on subclinical spread patterns these tumors. findings 43 patients with glioblastoma multiforme who died shortly after establishment diagnosis, constitute basis this report. Over 80% all glioblastomas either by contiguity or seeding. Supratentorial tumors usually an anterior-posterior direction; however, crossing over to opposite hemisphere was seen frequently area corpus callosum thalamus. Infratentorial yielded a 50% incidence spinal Two primary cord invaded intracranial content as well entire cord. Whole brain irradiation generous boosting fields recommended for management selected cases, cranio-spinal irradiation.
