摘要: Blood samples were taken from 254 women with pregnancies various complications and 119 completely normal pregnant for measurement of serum human placental lactogen (hPL) during the third trimester. The value this test in management these was retrospectively evaluated through details outcome. Serum hPL urinary estriol compared as tools assessment fetal condition. found to be very efficient prenatal diagnosis intrauterine growth retardation associated maternal hypertension. Low levels recorded all severely hypertensive patients who delivered small-for-dates infants (a 100 per cent prediction rate), while 30 had values. Prediction rate postmature by level 70 50 level. diagnostic significance low is emphasized, stress upon its early detection unfavorable environment. importance preterm deliveries involving discussed demonstration cases are presented.
