摘要: The aim of our study is to determine the relational communication characteristics professional-patient situations that have either facilitated or impeded patients' self-management. Conducted from perspective Finnish patients in context type 2 diabetes care, we used as research methods an open e-survey and semistructured interviews. Data were analyzed using inductive qualitative content analysis. critical incident technique was utilized throughout all these methods. results show both positive negative experiences described by connected four multidimensional characteristics: (a) building trust other party relationship, (b) willingness communicate, (c) emotional presence, (d) appropriateness. Although findings support recommendations earlier studies concerning individually tailored patient-centered acknowledging question can be a frame for constructing significant care relationships
