摘要: The effectiveness of a large number protocols for mixing in two-dimensional chaotic Stokes flow, according to variety measures, is investigated. degree which the various measures are correlated computed, and while no single protocol simultaneously optimises all it found that small subset perform well against most measures. However, difficult elicit general rules selecting effective protocols: example, superficially similar exhibit considerably different capabilities. results presented here suggest selection by `sieving' (i.e., successively eliminating candidate fail increasingly discerning measures) may be ineffective practice.
