摘要: Abstract Fly and bottom ashes are the main by-products arising from combustion of solid biomass. Since production energy this source is increasing, processing disposal resulting has become an environmental economic issue. Such interest as a construction material because they composed very fine particles similar to fillers normally employed in bituminous cementitious mixtures. This research investigates potential use ash biomass filler The morphological, physical chemical characteristics 21 different two traditional (calcium carbonate “recovered” plant filler) were evaluated discussed. Leaching tests, performed order quantify release pollutants, revealed that five do not comply with Italian re-use limits. Experimental results show wide range values for almost all investigated properties low correlation type terms origin composition. Furthermore, sieving milling processes found improve raw grading sample porosity. effectiveness these treatments content organic matter harmful fines suggest most may be regarded replacements natural
