摘要: Hedgehog (Hh) as morphogen directs cell differentiation during development activating various target genes in a concentration dependent manner. The mechanisms that permit controlled Hh dispersion and gradient formation remain controversial. New research the Drosophila wing disc epithelium has revealed crucial role of recycling for its release transportation from source cells. Lipid modifications on mediate key interactions with different elements pathway, which balance retention molecule through basolateral side epithelium, allowing tight spatial control. Dispersion is also determined by hydrophobic nature, include membrane-tethered transport are increasingly proposed.
