摘要: In this paper we show that application-aware adaptation, a collaborative partnership between the operating system and applications, offers most general effective approach to mobile information access. We describe design of Odyssey, prototype implementing approach, how it supports concurrent execution diverse applications. identify agility as key attribute adaptive systems, quantify measure it. present results our evaluation indicating performance improvements up factor 5 on benchmark three applications concurrently using remote services over network with highly variable bandwidth.
