摘要: Ecosystem-based management (EBM) has become a key instrument of contemporary environmental policy and practice. Given the increasingly important role EBM, there is an urgent need for improved analytical approaches to assess if what extent EBM been accomplished in any given case. Drawing on vast literature we identify five ecosystem aspects assessment. By linking these four phases management, develop interdisciplinary, framework that enables high-resolution systematic assessment degree specificity integration EBM. We then apply evaluate coastal initiatives Sweden, Baltic coast one west coast. Our results demonstrate our framework's usefulness in- depth continuous assessments processes aiming also provide empirical basis inferences about challenges successful
