摘要: During the later stages of plastic deformation, strain hardening face-centered cubic metals goes along with formation cellular dislocation patterns appearing on various scales. The paper presents an analysis fractal geometry these structures. A theoretical model is presented according to which cell associated a noise-induced structural transition far from equilibrium. observed dimensions are related stochastic process glide, and implications for quantitative metallography discussed.
