摘要: A practical aerodynamically and structurally reasonably efficient laminar flow control (LFC) suction method, removing the slowest boundary layer particles through many closed spaced fine slots, was developed subsequently applied to a second F94 LFC wing glove in flight: 100 percent observed up test limit. Laminar on wings flight is thus possible at much higher Reynold's number than even best low turbulence tunnels as result of negligible influence atmospheric microscale transition. The comparison experiments, with starting 0.03c 0.4c, verified theoretically predicted stabilization by 0.08c, maintaining substantially C sub L numbers compared acceleration; i.e., geometry alone without upstream 0.4c.
