摘要: Designers of flocculators are required to select the residence time, number flocculation compartments, stirrer characteristics and energy requirements, such that these function in an optimum manner treatment a particular water. This paper presents rational performance equation incorporating parameters demonstrates its validity with measurements employing continuously operating model apparatus. Performance is shown be determined by both dissipation rate type stirring equipment, but excessive energies result floc breakup reduced performance. At any minimum time exist corresponding dissipation. Anemometric demonstrate linear relationship between mean square fluctuating velocity root gradient computed from measurements. Whereas different stirrers have similar turbulence spectra, they display quite coefficients.
