摘要: This article provides a practical approach to optimize the long-term evolution (LTE) network extend battery life of LTE devices such as smartphones and tablets. The majority commercially deployed networks are optimized for data dongles where consumption is not major concern. With introduction tablets other handheld devices, has become bottleneck end user. In this article, we analyze, evaluate, validate key relevant features parameters that can potentially reduce and, hence, device usage time. objective obtain optimum setting efficiently deliver non-real-time applications with bursty traffic over by providing power savings without perceptibly degrading user experience. connected idle-mode discontinuous reception (DRX) mechanism along inactivity timer (UIT) assessed evaluated means field testing in live identify optimal deployment scenario most common network.
