摘要: The fruitfly Drosophila mounts a potent defense reaction during fungal, bacterial and viral infections. We have investigated this asked three types of questions : (1) how does recognize the invading microorganisms; (2) recognition lead to activation intracellular signaling cascades gene reprogramming; (3) which effector molecules are produced oppose microorganisms. Our results point sophisticated mechanism is based on several circulating, transmembrane or cytosolic receptors microbial ligands. Bound trigger distinct culminate in NF-κB family members, turn control expression hundreds immune-response genes, some antimicrobial activities. Stringent parallels with innate immune mechanisms mammals common ancestry will be discussed presentation.
