摘要: Changes in oxidative stress children undergoing chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) have not been well documented. To determine whether the measurement of DNA oxidized base 8-oxodeoxyguanosine (8oxo-dG) may be a useful biomarker this population, authors conducted an observational study on 103 with ALL. Blood samples were collected at diagnosis, during interim maintenance (IM), and delayed intensification (DI). mononuclear cell 8-oxo-dG, measured immunohistochemical method, decreased from diagnosis to IM (P = .01) increased between DI < .01). In pilot study, bone marrow was also 16 patients after 28 days treatment, but 8-oxodG remained same. The relationship plasma dietary intake antioxidants level 8-oxo-dG explored. There direct vitamin E .03) inverse β-carotene blood A .003). Plasma C .02) total carotenoids inversely related IM. contrast, higher E/ lipid levels associated At IM, had risk dose reduction .04). conclusion, cells decreases start increases aggressive
