摘要: The present work is an attempt to understand the effect of storage time on physico–mechanical properties sodium alginate (SA)–polyethylene oxide (PEO) blended films modified by methyl acrylate (MA) monomer. were prepared casting method and improved γ irradiation (12 kGy), PEO 10%, Glycerol (Gol) 15%, Mustard oil (MO) 20% MA 7% a mass basis as optimized. polymeric blend was stored for six months at room temperature. physical mechanical as-prepared SA-based investigated with compared results obtained before after periods. tensile strength (TS), elongation break (EB), Young modulus (YM) moisture content (MC) determined. Morphological thermal features characterized Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA), respectively. Reaction scheme polymer causes photodegradation are explained in context. ultimate study showed remarkable enhancement (> 35%) reduction EB (~ 30%) MC thanks irradiation.
