摘要: Abstract Coupled transport of two species can occur in a system if both react with an active mobile carrier. When fluxes are the opposite direction, phenomenon is called counter-transport. If coupling causes to be moved against its concentration difference, known as uphill transport. For fully developed, one-dimensional, laminar flow Newtonian fluid either parallel plate or hollow fiber mass separator, equilibrium chemical reactions inside membrane, counter-transport rate separator analysed. The effect diffusion and reaction parameters on optimum length investigated. separation perfomance shown depend wall Sherwood numbers, maximum facilitation factors, factor, dimensionless constants differences solutes. criteria for designing membrane separators get efficient discussed.
