Potential of Chambersite Tailing as Raw Material for the Preparation of Glass Ceramic: Investigation on Crystallization Behavior and Crystal Structure

摘要: The feasibility of preparing glass ceramic from chambersite gravity tailings was explored. crystallization parameters and state were analyzed by Johnson–Mehl–Avrami Augis–Bennett equations. effects sintering temperature duration on bending strength water absorption investigated, while the phase composition, crystal structure, lattice constants surface topography characterized. results indicate behavior is mainly body with clinopyroxene as a primary crystalline phase, activation energy for (E) 315.27 kJ/mol, kinetics parameter (k) $$7.98\times 10^{14}$$ , main $$a=0.97392$$  nm, $$b=0.88521$$ $$c=0.52748$$ $$\beta =107.062{^{\circ }}$$ . At 890  $$^{\circ }$$ C, pyroxene tetragonal column structure formed, diameter about 0.05–0.5  $$\upmu $$ m, crystallinity more than 75%; increases decrease in material particle size; at $$\hbox {D}_{90}$$ 5.71  m 150 min, reaches maximum 128.3 MPa between 0.06 0.02%.
