摘要: Predators have been considered to be good surrogates for measuring biodiversity, and raptors, in particular, proposed used as biodiversity surrogates. This assumption is based on the general idea of concordance between two taxonomic groups that showed a similar spatial/temporal structure, with aim using one surrogate other. If can identified, then inferences made conservation strategies established about Assemblage measures degree relationship composition patterns shown by organisms. In this study, we evaluated effect spatial environmental variability assemblage top-order predators (i.e. raptors), group, vascular plants, reptiles, birds mammals, target groups. We also examined potential causes which predict community structure desert southern Baja California Peninsula. Levels varied all cross-taxon comparisons. found raptors may due combination their responses gradients trophic interactions, whereas other are more likely derived from interactions low predictability no particular group significantly predicted The shifting levels concordance, terms variables, suggest poor ecosystem.
