摘要: This chapter deals with the influence of diffracted waves on tomographic observations. Probably most workers in tomography are aware existence such and their potential to interfere direct wave which interpretation is based. Strong diffraction effects expected when scale heterogeneity order seismic wavelength, but smallest detail one wants resolve typically or two orders magnitude larger. Can we safely neglect this case?
