摘要: Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD), an acute, violent, infectious of cloven-hoofed animals, remains widespread in most parts the world. It can lead to a major plague livestock and economical catastrophe. Structural studies FMD virus (FMDV) have greatly contributed our understanding life cycle provided new horizons for control eradication FMDV. To examine host-FMDV interactions viral pathogenesis from structural perspective, structures non-structural proteins are reviewed context their relevance assembly dissociation, formation capsid-like particles virus-receptor complexes, penetration uncoating. Moreover, possibilities devising novel antiviral treatments discussed.
